Lego Technic

Lego was one of the few physical toys I loved as a child, letting me build things from my imagination. But Lego Technic isn't just a childhood leftover—it is an active practice that I enjoy as an adult.

What makes Technic sets special to me is that they represent mechanical engineering and system design in a tangible, physical form. Instead of just stacking bricks for aesthetics, Technic sets are about function: gearboxes, levers, steering systems, linkages, and suspension.

When building these sets, you are constantly confronted with mechanical constraints, friction, and structural integrity. It is very similar to designing software architecture: you have to balance trade-offs, follow logical structures, and ensure that all components integrate smoothly. There is an immense sense of satisfaction when a complex mechanism—like a working multi-speed gearbox or a differential—clicks together and operates exactly as intended.

Why I Build
